There are a lot of dark pages on The internet, things that just add pain, hate and evil to the earth…but there are many encouragers out there too. People who “get it” – adding light, understanding, compassion. These people are heroes in this world…providing content that feeds the mind, or soul, or spirit…or all of the above. These people lift us up. They make the effort to share their experience and by doing so, fight back the bullies, the darkness, the empty days. They fill the empty spaces with positive energy.
Spend some time looking for these heroes, bookmark them, visit them often, share them. There is someone that you know that needs it, or they will share to someone that needs a jolt of encouragement.

Finding Ordinary people doing extraordinary things has been a life mission of Mike Rowe. The amazing thing is, throughout his shows, he never has to look far to find people whose ordinary life is something most of us would consider anything but ordinary. The threads running through these stories are often the same…it was a job that needed doing so we did it, it helped someone else, we were grateful for the opportunity…growth, grace and gratitude.
In a world where people so often wonder why they are here, these shows offer an answer. We can find someone to help, find a job that needs doing, look at what we are already doing with the eyes of gratefulness to see the blessings in the journey, even in the valleys. It may take being different, it may or may not involve notoriety, but changing what Ordinary looks like today could bring unexpected blessings tomorrow.
